Arrival / Dismissal Procedures
PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE 2 MAPS. One is for arrivals in the AM and one is for pickup in the PM.
The new car rider routes will go into effect on Monday, August 21, 2023.
MORNING DROP OFF:
You will enter our campus using Grace King Place. You cannot enter Grace King Place from West Esplanade. The city is putting a no right turn from West Esplance onto Grace King Place for the hours of 7:15 - 8:30 AM.
As you line up on Grace King Place, line up on the left side of the street, along the wooden fences (the residential backyard fences). Do not enter the gate into Haynes until you have enough space to pull into the campus. We don’t want to block Grace King Place. Students need to be on the driver side of the vehicle to enter and exit. HIgh School students who sit in the front passenger seat, will need to cross over in front of their vehicle, NOT behind their vehicle. As we begin this new route, please be patient as families and staff will all be getting used to the new routine.
Upon your exit, all car riders must turn left to exit our campus. You cannot turn towards West Esplanade. You can take a side street to enter West Esplanade.

AFTERNOON PICK UP:
You will enter our campus using Grace King Place. You cannot enter Grace King Place from West Esplanade. The city is putting a no right turn from West Esplance onto Grace King Place for the hours of 3:00 - 4:15 PM.
All information regarding afternoon pick up is the same as morning except, once you reach the Fine Arts building, you will be placed into rows for pickup. We will have staff on site to assist with this process, as it will be confusing in the beginning.
Ways to make car rider line run quickly and smoothly:
-
Keep your number displayed on your rearview mirror the entire time you are on campus. Don’t remove until you have pulled out the gatw
-
School bags should be in the vehicle and not the trunk, as this takes excess time for students to exit the vehicle
-
Drivers need to be courteous to residents and make sure not to block gate entrances, right of ways, and/or driveways
-
All families need to follow the car rider route.
-
Be courteous to your fellow Yellow Jacket Families. Do not cut in line or try to find a “shortcut”.
-
Do not exit out of the ADA exit unless you are directed to do so.
