Syllabus (and supply list):English IV Syllabus 1819
Additional items we would LOVE: There are just some items that would make our lives a little easier. It could mean having extra English vitamins (candy) or being able to let more kids print from my room. Here’s what would help out our little home away from home: HP ink cartridge (61 black); individually wrapped candies like peppermints; colorful whiteboard markers for our review games.
Ms. Miller is a HUGE fan of Donors Choose – it has gotten her the best things for her room; from cameras to Chromebooks to soft chairs to lounge in. Any current projects she has up will be listed here. If you can’t donate, please help her by sharing on your social media pages!

JP Grading Standards: 2017-2018 Grading Scale

Ms. Miller back in her college days on the London Bridge (it wasn’t falling down).
Just in case you came here wondering who I am (either because you’ll be in my class or your child will be in my class), I’ll give you some basic facts. This is my fourth year at Haynes Academy and I love it so, so much. The kids are incredible! Currently I’m teaching English IV, Senior ACT Prep, and Publications and am the overseer of several clubs. My home town is in Illinois and I’m not sure how I ended up here, but I adore living so close to NOLA, it’s the best. I graduated from Hanover College in 2013 with my BA (English major and minors in History and Renaissance/Medieval Studies); The University of Toledo in 2015 with my MA in English Lit. At home I have two cats, a dog and I love eating and traveling (who doesn’t, am I right?). If you ever need anything, please reach out to me via phone, email or make an appointment to come see me (for parents only – students can drop in anytime I’m not teaching).
